spare whoever said anything about a spare!? hahaha I've just got a good ol steel wheel skinny. I hide it with the stock trunk mat and spare tire cover though[&:]

It is nice having the same size on all 4 though, that way eventually you can at least rotate the directionals back to front.

Hi Soaring,
I bought the car with these wheels and tire and I said the same thing about different size tires and wheels. It looks like i am going to need two spares now!!!! Seriously what wheel and tire package would you recommend? 66 coupe 4 wheel disc all around. 302 engine c-4 tranny,& a 9" rearend. Tires in front rub fender on hard turns which I have not done since I have owned the car. Front wheels cragar ss 15" with P205/75R14's and rear wheels are fine with cragar ss 16" with P255/60R15's. I am not sure on the backspacing but I know that the wheels are universal mount and I know they can be a PITA to get on right. What do you think????

Mine has the same rims, 4 3/4 BS, 17x8 with 225x45 all around.. If I was to do it again, I would go with the 245 or 255 on the rear.

Slickman,
Do you have any rubbing problems at all? The back wheels are fine it is just the fronts that are bothering me!!

I had to roll the front fenders, they only rubbed a little on a hard turn. I could have gotten away without doing it but, I did it anyway.

I have a 68 convertible. Have 16x8 all around. Originally had 245 all around. The front tires rub bad. Fenders were rolled too. Now I have 225 on the front and 245 on the rear. Looks GREAT.

I guess I should always throw in the info---I am currently waiting for my center section to be setup, so I can bolt it to the 9" housing, to measure for axles. That will determine my backspacing for the rear. I am planning on a 17x8" rim with a 255 tire on disc brakes. The front, has 13 cobra brakes on it, and I am planning on a 17x7' rim with a 205 tire. I guess I am just wondering if anyone or everyone thinks the 205 tire will be too "skinny" for a sunday cruiser, "muscle car stance/ look" machine---haha thanks for all the feedback and pics!

BlackFlame,
I have 205/75's 15" cragar ss on the front of my car and they look good but rub. I know you are going with a wider wheel they might look skinny with that wheel size??
