'65 289 trouble contd...
hey guys,
i wrote a week or so back about trouble with my '65 289 pony. it started burning oil and running very very ragged. i mean it stalls unless i run it at high revs. and you suggested that the head gaskets might be blown and that i should strt with a compression test.. well i did the compression test and here are the results:
150-152 psi in all cyclinders except the driver-side forward most cylinder which read 122psi
are these figures in the OK range? is there anything else that i can do before i take it to a shop?
thanks for your time.

your number 5 cylinder either has a worn ring, or possibly damage to an intake or exhaust valve.
