Default Brighter Lights on 1970

I do a lot of backroads driving and light on my 1970 are just not bright enough. Almost to the point on being nervous driving it . I constantly drive with brights on and have never been flashed. What's a good upgrade that won't break the bank?

Halogens or Tri-Bars are an option. They also have a kit to make your stock headlights brighter.

Thanks for the link - Looks pretty straightforward - have you tried it. I get a little nervous when it comes to wiring changes. How bout the halogen replacement - do they make much of a difference? Seen some on Ebay claiming to increase by 70%.

I'd believe it. The halogens are relatively new technology, when you replace the old with the new you should get a pretty huge difference. Halogens can be annoying to other drivers but we have them on my Dad's Audi and they have amazing visability....but then again, they turn with the car too

Beware of installing modern head lamps. I've heard where the newer lights cause problems because of the higher electrical draw and added heat. I'm not positive about this, just something I have heard. Could be an urban myth or a fact.

Did you mena xenon lights in the Audi?

std old Mustang lights are joke, but with halogen (H4) lights you can get very good visibility. If you have only two lights like in classic Mustangs you need two H4 - lights. Corvettes and car with four lights you need two H4 - lights and two H7 lights.

This is what I'm going to use.. I installed a super white set of lights and have a set of GT style lights that are going in the grill. This link is what I will use to power all the new lights. I already have the wiring and the relays, should work great..
