Default License plate thread

I have traveled all over the world while working for the DOD, and I have had many cars overseas. I have also been a band director in Texas for a number of years. I just wish I had an example of all the license plates I have owned, but these are the only only ones I kept. What strange and out of the ordinary plates do you guys sport on your classic Mustangs? I would dearly love to have a set of 65 Texas plates, but can't find them for less than 125 bux each.

When my Mom won her '89 Porsche she got vanity plates that said "1 it" and I have the Cali plates off the Mustang hanging up.

Got the plates I had on my toy when it was in Germany. DOD plates are kinda funky from the 80s.
have some SC plates from being stationed there, some Nebraska ones going back 20+ years, coolest set of NE plates had my engine displacement on them. ie 462. Got a bunch of Michigan ones, some canadian plates, all sorts of wierd stuff. might take a pic sometime.

noticed the other day the plates on my cougar say 1987 on them..

I wouldn't say mine are strange .... my rear plate is a 1966 year of manufacture plate and on the front I have the original California black and yellow plate.

I needed a 1965 Massachusetts year of manufacture plate but found out that year they did not issue year specific plates

^Actually, that's a photoshopped joke. My real tag is a Florida Antique plate similar to this:

I found a Georgia 1965 plate that use on the back of my FB.
In GA, you can use year of mfg tags as long as you have the issued tag in the car.
