I thought that the GT's had toploader 4 speeds?

 

Is that true? How can I tell if its a true GT? Ill be bummed if its not.

 

I looked all over the internet and found alot of other 66 GTs with 3 speeds. So I think its good. You scared me for a sec.

I was at a show the other day and there were 2 66's (one coupe and a vert) for sale and the vert was nice, needed a little freshing up on the interior, but the paint was great and the other one the paint was bubbling out all over the place and the guy was trying to sell it to me. i told him my 66 needs about as much work as just the body on his.

the best way to tell if its a GT or not is to open the drivers door and look at the door tag, it will have the vin number on it, if there is a K in the vin code (dont rembember where at in the vin code, near the beginning) then its a gt

 

cohen not true, not all gt's were k codes

 

say whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?, i always thought they were all k codes, if they arent k codes, what are they?
