Default brakes locking up

I have a 65 with a 302 and i drove it around the block yesterday and i found out that the driver side drum was locking up. Is this common or is there something wrong?

locking up when braking or when just driving around with no brakes applied?

when brakes are applied the idea is to have equal braking force to both front wheels and both rear wheels (both fronts should lock at same time) (both rears should lock at same time) if not the car will pull to one side when brakes are applied.

Note temperatures for FR FL should be the same as well, temps for RR RL should also be equal

My right rear tire locks up under heavy braking due to a leaky wheel cylinder.

it locks up when applying the brakes and pulls to the driver side.

In the time it took for you to come here and write up your problem you could have pulled the wheel and had a look.

Sorry to be harsh but sometimes that's the easiest and best first step.

Yeah but now I get to tell him to check his passenger side first and see if there is brake fluid around the cylinder, to check the pads and drum, and with the drum on have someone apply the brakes and see if you can still turn the drum to see if its even working at all.

Then check driver's side too and look for the same things and do the same tests.
