Not sure if your carb is the same as my Motorcraft 2v 2100, but most likely it is. Here is a pic of mine, and I have circled the idle adjustment screw. It is hard to miss.

RE: 73 mustang need help
when the mustang gets started, and you can get one good rev in before it seems like the fuel or spark gets shut off for a little, then right before it stalls if your lucky you can get another rev in, any suggestions for what to check for that problem?

RE: 73 mustang need help
I had the same problem with my 73, as some of you may remember. It turned out to be a broken diaphram on the vacuum advance unit.
A quick check you can do is to remove the line that goes into the vacuum advance on the distributor from the source, on the manifold, and suck on it. If you don't get any resistance your diaphram has a hole in it. About $17 for a new one if I remember right.
Hope it helps
