67 Rally,
I did not understand your post. You said you will not commute in your car. OK. What is your point? Also, we did not ask you if you were interested in making the conversion. This thread was started by someone who is. My post was to paddy and others who ARE planning on doing the 3 point conversion for a safer car.

SkiprCH,

The point of my post was to illustrate that not all of us are sold on making the 3-point switch. It seems that on this board and others, folks are almost militant about convincing others to make the change-over. I was only interjecting that I was not going to make the switch based on my experience and the usage of my car.

You might want to take a step back and think about what discussion boards are for. This is a community where we all get to share our experiences and seek insight on restoring or modifying our cars. Opposing viewpoints and ideas are part of healthy discussion.

Whether or not I was asked for my interest or if I was invited into this conversation seems to be an issue with you. By the way, I didn't see paddy187 specifically ask you for information, yet you felt inclined to post.

So, what exactly was the purpose of YOUR post?

Sorry to hear that, man.

If you don't mind the look, a 4-point setup with wide belts would give much better protection in our solidly built (no crumple zones) cars. They'll spread the force over a larger area, reducing the probability of cracked ribs. They also don't touch your neck.
