ive got a 1972 mach 1 (supposedly) but im not sure if its a true mach 1, its definetly a early 70's model spoortsroof. The vin says its a mach 1 with a 302 2 bbl, but some things dont make sense. Heres some things if noticed

mach 1's have tachometers, this one has the standard gauges
mach 1's have the pop open gas cap, this one doesnt
m 1's have disc brakes (?), this one has drums
machs have rear stabilizer bars, none to be found
the engine is correct for the vin, 302 2bbl

whats going on here? if its not a real mach then i wont be to broken hearted considering i only gave 400 bucks for it and it runs and drives, but i would like to know

 

What are you vin #'s and what are the numbers on the door?
