Default Fuel Pressure...

...Regulator, that is.

I just ordered a Holley fuel pressure regulator, as the Edlebrock 600 is seemingly being overfed with just a little more than 7 psi of fuel pressure. I'm hoping this might help get rid of the small dieseling problem as well (as I've tried EVERYTHING else!). I'll set it at just below 6psi to see if that helps get rid of the problem (per Edelbrock tech line).

Question - where to put it?

I know, obviously, it must be located between the pump and the carb, but where would be a good place to mount it (it's relatively small)? Head, carb stub, engine bay wall, etc....??? Any suggestions? Any photos?

Many thanks in advance.

Inline works. What ever you do try and limit the amount of rubber hose to 6" or less. The less the better. Most tech inspectors at sanctioned events won't like it if you have a long run of rubber fuel line.

Are you using a stock fuel pump, or electric? I have mine mounted on the inner fender, but I also have an electric pump in the back of the car. Also, you should have picked up a return style regulator. They are much better at fuel delivery than the standard dead head regulator. You can place a return style regulator after the fuel inlet as well. It really doesn't take a whole lot to add the extra fuel line needed for the return, either. I think I spent about an hour installing the extra line.
