Glass insurance is like $20/year. Your a f00l for not having it. You should be mad @ YOURSELF for not carrying glass ins. Even with mudflaps the stone would still have come up off the tire, unless the flags ride the ground. Mud flaps help stop water spray more that debris like stones coming up.

I was followin a scrap metal truck to a show last weekend and a piece flew off the truck and hit my grille. Probably should have got the tag number, but I guess I'll just pay for it myself.

Insurance pays way less than an individual would Hence why all the body shops try to get in good with insurance agents. They do the work at a little less rate and they get >all< that adjusters work in the long run. My ex' was an adjuster for 10 years. She used to send them to one shop in particular because they saved her money. It all works out.

 

oh, i was just thinking that, because a windshield cost like 200+ and then the labor... but oh well. Im really not into that stuff, so i dont know. i just hope i dont have to pay anything.

 

Insurance refused to replace the windshield in the Ranger I used to drive. They sent a guy out to seal it up with something that made it not crack worse. It was small but I would have rather them replaced it oviously.

 

My wife worked for State Farm and they do not send you to their shops, You take it where ever you want and they pay the shop. You are out nothing.
