mystery question
Lets be honest about this... As car guys, we know what a built car sounds like. Even with a quiet exhaust, the mods required to get a car to 10's are noticeable unless we are speaking simply Nitrous and then, that ends the conversation because it wont be running in the 10s long...
Sleeper cars do happen, but those are the 65 coupes with hubcaps and vinyl tops.

Good body and no motor if fine by me. Pulling and rebuilding an engine is easy compared to welding on quarters. My car needed floor pans, drivers quarter skin, and a couple more patch panels. I opted for a passenger door skin when I found bondo and ripples under the paint. All in all, the body work has not been that bad. I am ****, so I am going over every little part in this car. I read about rust free cars and wonder...what if! My next one (and yes, like the other, ANOTHER, not a replacement) I'll be looking for more rust free. I am restoring my 66 this time as it is complete and worthy of such. The next one however will be a resto-mod. I want to start with a better base so I can "fix it up", not "restore". So, if there is a small hole, I'll patch it. Maybe something with a sound body and I'll pop it up with something stupid like dual quad tunnel ram, hanging out of the hood.[sm=gears.gif]
