i hate to ask but my mind is off this week (work related). 5 or 6 quarts for an oil change? pretty sure it is 5. thanks!!!

Yeah, that's the problem with it using 5 quarts with an oil change because most oils are either sold in 4 quart jugs or 1 quart jugs. So, we have to buy a 4 quart and a 1 quart jug. Mine doesn't burn any oil between changes, so I just get 5 quarts, but for the truck I always get an extra quart because it burns about a quart between changes. Wal-Mart carries Rotella oil and Motorcraft filters. Pretty good price too.

 

i always use the Motorcraft filter. thanks for the responses. by the way how often do you guys change your fuel filter?

 

I don't remember when I last changed my fuel filter. Maybe 5 or so years ago. I have the inline see through filter, and it seems to be clear after all these years, so I don't worry about it since it is clear.
