I know people how do use old french fry grease to run there cars, you filter add some turpertine and leave for a week or so filter it and stick it in a diesel and no adjustments need. As for the water engine, unfortunatly i doubt you would get much energy out of it as you split water and then remake water so unless you have a great catalyst the gain in energy would be much lower. Thumpin are you sure wankels are bulky? I am sure the NSU ro80 and the mazda engines are pretty small in size, compared with the same power piston engine.
the RX-8 is 1300cc and get 230 bhp ok little torque and fuel efficancy is rubbish, burns oil and longevity of rotary engines is low due to rotor tip wear they used to say about ro80 u change the engine and not the oil!!!

may be the guy how puts the powerstroke in mustang will use frie grease because he will be broke from doing it and can't afford diesel!!
