Good find,
How do you think they will control gas charge inertia, and flame front speed in an engine with varying rpm and varying fuel quality? For this engine to go into an automobile do you think that would be important?

A better solution would be to eliminate the pumping loses, friction and angularity of the conecting rod/piston setup. Its been around since steam power and isnt terribly efficient. Wankels are an interesting idea, but inpractice they are bulky and tend to lose the lip seals making them useless, especially in a high boost situation. Still you have too much mass with a crankshaft, rods, pistons or the wankel..

Need to find something else that can produce circular motion efficiently with zero emissions with a readily available, renewable, non fossil fuel. You dont want it to run on water, we kinda need water to survive. But pick a natural non fossil oil basied fuel, methanol, ethanol, hydrogen, soy/vegetable oil, or whatever you like and use that instead of gasoline/ diesel for fuel. Find a way to make mad power with a cheap fuel that doesnt pollute and you will be a revolutionary wealthy person.

I like to think of the 72 as a sort of biodiesel car, in the sense that it consumes an awful lot of living things every time I drive it. Including, but not limited to, brain cells. [&:]

That is nothing more than a fancy elaborate way of making a 2 stroke engine, with all the extra recipricating weight of that extra rod and piston. And the centerline of the bore being offset from the centerline of the crank to utilize a common crank journal is not helping matters.

me and a friend had the thought to make an engine run off of water..... but, really, It broke down the water, into oxygen and hydrogen. Hydrogen, of course, is very flammable, and i bet would run a engine. You wouldn't need a carb or anything, but im not saying anymore.

Lets see....Hydrogen and Oxygen, Hmmmm. Any chance you work for NASA?
Yeah, it's very "flamable".
