Default luggage rack tips

new member doing remaining resto items... i'm missing the black plastic tips on the ends of the luggage rack. anyone know where to find these, even home depot look alike? trying to avoid paying almost $200 for a new rack, and none of the normal parts houses carry them. I found that YearOne carries them for a Chevelle, anyone know if these would fit?
thanks!

I don't know where to get the tips. I took the luggage rack off mine when I had the body restored. To me, the luggage rack just doesn't look good on a classic Mustang.

I saw them at one of the repro vendor sites. Not sure if it was NPD or Mustangs Unlimited.
(IMO) on an original convertible, I think it's a nice option. On a coupe, I'm not so thrilled with it.

it's an original option on my 67 GTA conv, so yep it's staying. i've had a coupe with one, and it was the first thing i took off. Scott, both the places you mentioned i've checked...no dice. you have to buy the full rack. one o those pointed me to their mfr in TAIWAN (!!!!!), but only gave me a phone#. unfortunately no time to wait for the pacific slow boat even if they agree to give them to me.

I think these look great on a vert.. I think I know what you're talking about, they are plastic caps about 1/4" in dia and about 1/2" long right? I have seen these in hardware stores.. Go to a good one and look around, mine in town has just about anything you can think of.. If you post a pic of give me some dimensions, I can take a look for you. I'm there all the time!
