The "screw holes" are for the Mustang emblem, corral, and GT lights. They don't have anything to do with the installation of the grill.

I put the 68 grill on my 67 with no problems - mounts right up. I liked the 68 because I just wanted to have the running pony without the corral. On the 67 grille, the pony is attached to the corral, so you have to have the corral. On the 68, the pony attaches directly to the grill. So now my resotmod 67 with a 68 grill has only the running horse, which looks like the grill of an 05/06.

My 68 actually has a 67 grill on it, not sure why, but it fits. I would like to get a 68 so that I have all my mounting holes again.

If the 67 fit on a 68, it stands to reason that a 68 would fit on a 67.
