Got mine for $2,500. Shop around, u'll find good deals in those old backyard junkyards.

good choice for a first car, I'm 16, and that's what I got!! And yes, they cost a pretty penny, from the start. Expect to pay 12k + for a a running car, that is in decent shape. So far with my car my dad and I have poured in maybe 2-3 thousand bucks with an engine rebuild, misc. rebuilds, new parts, painting, etc. And it's not running yet! We are almost there.

you probably should buy one if you can find a good deal...they aren't going down in price anytime soon and the aftermarket for parts is getting pretty huge....GOOOD choice of a car by the way!

i hate you guys gettin machs as your first cars [&o] mine was supposed to be a 1969 mach 1 with a 428 looked just like bradleys (was an auto) then my retard of a dad sold it for a more collectible car. he once said "man that wouldve made a great first car for you." i about cried! this wimpy old 289 2v 65 isnt gunna cut it for long. its 347 stroka time!
