They are expensive. They are a very desireable model of the classic Mustangs so you have to pay a pretty penny for one if it is in good shape. Exactly what information about them are you looking for. Engines, transmission, rear ends, etc. that were available for the Mach back then?

Of course it depends on what you're starting with. 20k is generally a good budget to fix up a car completely, if you're doing a lot of the work yourself (everything but paint and interior).

The truck in my sig was about $14k.

Here is some info to get you started. I wish I could afford one. There are just too many factors involved to tell you how much it would cost to fix one up, but Colorado is right about starting with about 20 grand in mind. I also have about 14 grand in my 65 coupe, and I haven't even started on the engine yet.

That's kinda what we're trying to tell you, it depends on your budget and what kind of car you are starting with. Let us know that and we can start helping you....

sure they run well if you put the time and money into them. lets see what i can think of of the top of my head. engine options were a 351 and a 428 cobra jet in 1970. Mach 1s were made from 1969-197(3?). Automatic transmittion options were....FMX and....c6? lots of power for a stock car, there are a few mach 1s in the family and both will smoke the tires with the utmost ease. you could get a shaker on the 428, i dont think you could get one on the 351. uh...cant think of anything else right now.

lets see, the mach 1 was made 69-73, 351engines and up were the fast stock engines, but really if you want a mach 1, make a clone of one, its cheaper and you dont have to worry about it going places.

o yea and
