How much does the whole factory AC setup weight in a 65 mustang? (unit in the engine and in teh car) just wondering. Not that i could afford to ditch it with the 100 degree days we have, but id still like to know. thanks!

 

well i just took mine out last week and let me tell you it aint no feather. the compressor weighs about 30lbs. I think...

 

Come on Emperor..... Ditch it....... and give it to me.

 

i got a box out of some saturn thats really small and im using a compressor from a 95 5.0 ho motor its pretty light... but if you are really concerned about 30 pounds just take out the back seat before you go racing

 

i just got through putting a new I6 in my car and the whole compressor and assembly weighs about 45-50 lbs. but i had to put it in because Texas is too HOT

 

i was worried it would weight ALOT. Yeah thats why I asked, thats wehre i live too [&o]
