everything where it should be?

 

black is bat. goes to solenoid on the hot side nearest the battery. Next to it is the field which i think is the bottom prong on the harness that goes to the voltage regulator. The other furthest away is ground and goes to the one above the field. If all else fails put a 1 wire on there and be done with it.

 

reminds me that i need a new alternator[&:]

So one plugs into the Voltage Regulator harness and the other is, uh.... ground ?

Look at the pic I showed you. The black and red is ground.
