Hi I have a 65 mustang,has 289 c4 auto,my question is what kind of rear end is it,8" or 9".

 

8 inch originally. it could have possibly been swapped out for a 9 inch..... but dont get your hopes up, it's probably a 8.

 

any distinctive feature you can tell the difference?

Thanks, I will get under her tomarrow and check what she gots.I baught this car for 300 buck from my neighbors freind,It was in a fire,see the story goes the girlfreind got mad burnt the house down stang caught fire.the car was beutifull,all orig,it runs body is streight,no glass intirior is toasted but its all there,wiring is good.just the exterior and interior is not good.but thats okay.
