1966 GT
So,
I was driving to pick up some hay earlier today and I looked and on the side of the road was a beautiful looking Mustang. I stopped on the way back to look at it. It's a 1966 GT coupe. It was originally a 289 but it's been replaced with a 302, a fresh rebuild with 7,000 miles on it. Sticker says it has 350 horse. I looked at the engine compartment...It has a Weiand intake, long tube headers, a holley carb, dual oil filters, an aftermarket ignition (Mallory? maybe that was the name), some shiny valve covers, etc. It also has traction bars in the back, and wide *** tires. It's a stick, with a Hurst shifter. The body is in very good shape, though it does have a few dings and dents here and there...nothing I can't fix. I called the guy, he said the only mechanical problem is that the brakes fade, though they can be pumped up. I don't really see this as a problem because my old '66 vert, which was a restomod project, has a brand new SSBC brake system on it, new calipers, spindles, rotors, master cylinder, everything, so I could just switch them over. The guy wants 5,000 for it. I fell in love with this car the second I saw it...I applied for a loan at the bank last week before I saw this car, to rebuild my '89 GT and pretty it up as well as add some power, as well as lifting my truck...However, if they call me tomorrow and I am approved, I will go right down there and buy this car. I looked everywhere, no rust or anything, it's in really good shape. Right now I'm really stoked, and I hope the bank is gonna come through. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I really fell in love with it when the guy started it up, it sounded so sweet, haha.
Here's to hoping!

My original post says that the loan was going to go towards my '89, and I was also going to put some money into my Bronco. I dont' think that it is that underpriced, because it does need some work, which I don't see as a problem.
This link will help you verify whether the car is a true GT.

Even if it's not a GT it is still worth the 5K in my opinion. If it turns out to be a standard coupe maybe you can get it cheaper since it may be a knock off GT. Doesn't hurt to try.
