Default Dash Lights Flickering?!

Ok... I got the fuel gauge working but now my dash lights are starting to flicker in and out. Does anyone know why this would happen and how to fix it. I think it might just be the headlight switch but not sure. Should I just go ahead and replace it with a new one? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

check the ground circuit for the lights to be sure they are getting a good ground. are there grounding straps from the engine block back to the firewall, if not, you need to add at least one so the chassis gets a good ground connection back to the battery assuming the negative terminal on the battery is connected to the engine block. also check to make sure the wiring is tight on the switches too. and clean the connections if you find any corrosion on them.

Thanks guys. I will be sure to check all that. Does anyone know what type of shop I should look for to do some electrical work on my 1965 mustang? I looked through the phone book and there are just not any mustang specialists so I dont know who to go through. Thanks.

you might try contacting www.stangparts.com they're a Mustang speciality salvage yard in Winder, Ga that recently started to do in house repair work on Stangs. They might be able to recommend someone in your area they know about also. You could also check out Painless Wiring, they make and sell all kinds of wiring harnesses for Stangs and other rides. 12 volt wiring is not all that complicated to understand, you might want to look into doing it yourself with the help of a shop manual like Chiltons' or Haynes.
