the h pipe is supposed to even out the sound, reduce drone and assist with backpressure and efficiency...apparently.
I did new system from the headers back, 2 1/4, new mufflers, nice stainless tips and an h pipe.
sounds heaps better. just as loud under load. not as loud at highway speed. but i couldnt tell you how much was due to the h pipe. the exhaust guy said all the factory twin systems have them now for a reason.
yep, finished the tranny like two weeks ago, now i am getting ready to put a posi unti in my rear end with 3.73's. then i will move on to paint. You car is looking real sweet, and sounds awsome as well. The only thing you should have done was weld in a set off cut outs so you can pop them open for some open header action, that what i did. I will see if i cna get a sound clip soon for ya!

well
2 reasons we didnt get cutouts
1. subframes, didnt want to melt the paint off, or have them down and risk them getting hit
2. they didnt supply them, we woulda had to have gotten them ourselves
