seats?

should i attempt to reupholster my seats with my mom(used to sew, knows her way around cloth)

or should i take it to an upholsterer(sp)

just buy the uplostery kit, new foam, the hog rings and the hog ring pliers and slip the covers on

i bought the Super Interior Kit from www.mustangsplus.com and did it myself in a few hours...

those hog rings are a pain in the *** though

I bought the upholstery and foam and tried to do it myself with my dad, uncle, grandfather and cousin, and we couldn't get it done and ended up taking it to an upholstery shop. I guess some people just can't do certain things.

By all means, do it yourself!!! It's really kinda fun to do. No sewing involved just stretching the material and using the hog nose pliers. Your hands will get a healthy workout for sure. There are several posts in this forum and other sites with really informative instructions...good luck and enjoy!!! Keep us posted with pics on your progress...

Yeah, if you put the vinyl covers in the clothes dryer for awhile, it will soften them up so you can stretch them on easily. But, by all means, do it yourself. No need to spend money on someone else to do this fairly easy job.

i bought the vinyl covers and did it myself, and i thought it was quite easy. there is no way i would take them some where else. plus i know i did it myself.
