Default Wierd thing

Hey ya'll, i have a 200 on my 66 stang and was beautifying my engine(looks kinda busted) so i bought the chrome valve cover and a matching oil cap from mustangsunlimited.com
i just got the package, and was looking at it. and my valve cover has a push on style oil cap and it has the pipe thing that it goes on, but the one they shipped me has no pipe............should i get a different type of cap, or is there a part i need to buy?

im really confused.

i sent them an email, but i thought id ask here anyways.

Thanks guys.

Mike

Not really sure about the 6's. Mine has the push on with the throat on my 289.

didn't you say you got matching chrome cover and oil cap? I'd go back to them.

i figured it out, my old one was that blue thing with a matching cap, and it was all rusty and nasty, so i ordered the new pretty one, and on the mustang unlimited little sidebar "related items" was a push on cap, and so i got it, thinking it was the right one, but the cover they sell needs a twist on cap-so im returning it and ordering a the right one........

but also.

does anyone have any advice on putting my brakes back together-i have new lines and cylinders on the wheels-but i need to put the hardware and adjusters back on-whats the deal with the grease(how do you do that?), putting in more brake fluid(mines all gone) and drums?

just any general advice-i dont want to have to do my brake job again because of some stupid blunder..........

thanks yall

good find on the oil cap. i have 3 different styles on 3 different engines so too hard to guess. Still they should have known that was the wrong cap for the cover you ordered and questioned it...thats just slack service IMO.

re the brakes, i'd put that up as a new post. it wont get noticed so well in this one. there are some really switched on guys here who will be able to tell you exactly what you need to do

cheers
