I believe there is a difference between 67 and 68 but it may be worth the cash to get the adjustable ones now

At least for the 67-73 cars, the strut rods also give you a means for adjusting caster (this might not be true for the 64 1/2 - 66 cars... I've never owned on of those). Adjusting the rod forward (i.e. increasing the number of threads on the rod that are visible ahead of the front crossmember) will pull the lower control arm slighly forward, and this increases positive caster (the top of the spindle points a little more strongly towards the back of the car). Adjusting the rod backwards (decreasing the number of threads visible ahead of the crossmember) moves the lower control arm slightly backwards, decreasing positive caster.

if they aren't bent, just replace the bushings and washers on the end
also give you a means for adjusting caster
What about if rust is so bad on them that the threads are gone?

Okay, if the threads are rusted off, that would be another reason to replace them. Are they rusted off? I was just trying to point out that normally, all you really need to do is rebuild the ends (install new bushings) and that the typicll suspension rebuild kit will have the strut rod end kit as part of it.

Agree. If the rust is so bad that the threads are physically gone / damaged, then replace the rods. For starters, if threads are missing it might be physically impossible to even align your car to spec after the rebuild. More importantly, you shouldn't attempt to reuse any part on your car which has damaged threads... particularly for a major suspension piece.

Sounds like you're in the market for strutrods. I would consider an upgrade, such as these.

As long as I'm spending your money and with a visit from Santa being close, I would also consider roller spring purches that Opentracker has on sale now.
