I have one on my car and it really made a big improvement.
Low speed steering still has a bit of resistence, but once you're moving it really helps out.
I noticed my times at the track improved immediately with the installation.
I am able to input much quicker steering control now, especially midway through a corner.

He is doing roundy round, not quarter mile. Steering becomes an issue with roundy round.

Actually it's auto-cross where the turns in both directions come hard and fast. Whatch this video . If this doesn't give you a shot of adreneline you better check your pulse! This is what 2baV8 does. Watch the video a few times, then watch the in car portion and how he "saws" at the steering wheel. The ability to quickly turn the wheel and have the car immediately react is very important. In fact, I can't think of any form of auto racing where it is more important.
Eliminating the rubber bushing reduces the friction especially under load (i.e. turning the wheel while in a turn). Eliminating the bushing also removes the slop of the drag link, making for a more precise and quick turn-in.
For daily driver/canyon carver you will notice a more precise feel to the steering, and a reduced amount of "darting" when hitting rough edges (like Potholes).

Man, I'm still amping from watching that video. [sm=bounceybounce.gif] Auto-X is addictive, and so damned much fun. I'd highly recommend trying it.

Auto-cross=european type racing circuit then like BTTC or DTM but with amatuer not manufacturer supported. One of my favorite motor sports is rally cross two car against each other on seperate but parrell circuit with mixture of road and gravel, very exciting. I find oval racing truely boring and F1 a bit boring. But touring car is good as if you win you get weight so more even contenst, what is truely mad is truck racing not I ain't taking f-150 and dodge rams i'm talking bobcat semis, that's a sight to see.

Nascar for me is the great soap opera of racing. To watch the race itself puts me to sleep. What has America enthralled is the story behind the races. Even CART and IRL oval races are boring (IMO), and the whole idea of passing under braking, then follow until the next oportunity to out brake or out draft your competitor is snooze-ville. The interesting part is learning what it takes to make the car competitive in the first place.
You all have got some really great racing going on. Racing which rewards exceptional driving skill over tuning. I wish we could get more of that going here. The biggest "bang for the buck" racing here is either drag or Auto-X. It's a fairly large monetary step from there.
We do have an excellent series of off road motorcycle racing, which is the direction I moved over to. However that car "bug" has never really left, as is somewhat evident in the Mustang.

whoops, major thread hijack...sorry[&o]

Roller bearing idler arm. Great part for the money. Buy two and donate one to a friend.
