Default removing differential

Hey guys, I'm working on installing my new disc brakes fro my rear end but i need to pull out the axles. To do that, I need to pull out the diff. So I got the nuts off and I've pulled the diff off about 1/4in but its not coming all the way off. Is there any special way to pull the diff out or just keep pulling until it comes? Thanks.

u dont need to remove the diff to get the axels out. in the end of the axel there are bolt behind the axel flange remove these and the axel will come out(the late model mustang u have to remove the diff cover to remove the c clips the vintage cvars dont have them)

x2... the newer ownes dont know this..
there should be a hole in the axle flange to get to the bolts with a socket and extension. They come out REAL easy too.. be mindful of the seals when you pull it..
