Default Carb swap help.

I'm trying ot swap out my Holley carb for a Edelbrock carb and I'm running into the issue of not knowing which hoses do what on the holley. If anyone has a page or knowledge on the matter, I would appreciate any help I could get. I wanted to get it done today, but I can't seem to find any info.

Firts question, why? I have never had good luck with AFBs on Fords. But, the large 3/8" hose is the PCV. I don't know what year or engine, since you didn't say. The ported signal on the Holley should be on the choke side of the front metering block, but it may be underneath. That goes to the distributor vacuum advance. If you need direct vacuum for something, that is usually under the front bowl on a Holley. If you need more information let me know.

I have a 68 fastback with a 302 from the mid 70s I believe, I honestly don't know as I didn't put the engine in. However, The water pump that I had to put on it a few months back was from a mid 70s 302 and if I'm not mistaken there was a change in how the water pump was done around that time. The reason I want to change it, is that the manual choke on the holley is pissing me off to the point that I have to keep pumping the gas to keep it alive for the first 10 minutes of running no matter where I put the choke at... and that's best case. A lot of the time, if I change the choke at all it just dies and I can't keep it going. If you ocould find me a site to have a picture I would REALLY appreciate it. I'm not good with visualizing it.

Better yet, adjust the choke that's on there. Sounds like the fast idle screw isn't set right....or the choke flap isn't engaging. Also, the choke won't set unless the throttle is open... Adjusting a carb is free as well.

I've fiddled with it some and I know the flap is opening and closing fine when I pull the ****. I've also had my friend look at it which put me where I'm actually able to drive it again.
