Default New Data Tag

I just got mydata tag from Mustangs Plus. I am very impressed - I could not tell the difference between the new and a 40 year old tag I comapred it to (except, of course, some aging lines on the '65).

I highly recommed this item for those of you missing your original - it is a Ford authorized repro.

By the way, would you guys "age" the new tag (a few strokes with steel wool should do it)? Or leave it as new?

leave it as new, unless you are trying to play it off as the original one in the car, id keep it new and tell people who commented on how fresh it looked that i have the original at home.

I agree with the Emperor. I have gotten a repro and kept the original so I can show people the original and declare the new one as a repro. I may seem **** about it but here in the islands, there is much hanky panky going on with replaced plates and VINs. That may seem off topic but there are some characters here in the Philippines who will chop up a coupe and create a convertible which they will sell to some hapless foreigner. They go as far as changing VINs and dataplates and create a new title. I for one do not support that.

Sad part is that for 65-66 Marti has no records to cross-check.
