when adjusting drum brakes does it tighten the shoes when i go under the adjusting star(or whatever it's called) and rotate it up ? It's a 69 thanks

If not one way just go the other way until you can feel the tire being caught by the break, you want it to swoosh very slightly for every revolution of the tire.... from there it should auto adjust.

One way, it moves. The other, it won't....unless you move the autoadjuster out of the way...
