Niether (for now)

Both intakes increase the usable RPM/power band range up (over stock intake)
What do you mean by "more bottom end" what doesn't it do now that you want it to do at a whatever RPM range you mean by bottom end.
What transmission?
What rear gear?

Its easy to dog a motor out, so sometimes you have to think carefully about how certian components will work with each other...call me ****....I like to have as much info as possible before making recommendations...not to mention if you have a 302 that made 471hp on a motor dyno at 5700rpm....link in the dyno graph so we can see why you think you have no bottom end.

Curious to know the current combination that made 471hp@5700.. Like what heads, intake carb do you have now..

Is it in a Fox or a pre 74? Just curious..

I like the RPM over the TorkerII, better signal to the carb and less puddling of fuel on the intake floor. Thats the reason my Victor intake has a turtle in it..

Your right Dodgestang , My specs are 302 ci bored 40 over converted to carb; 10.5:1 total compression ratio; stock crank fully balanced; scat rods; hyperutectic pistons; comp cams XE274HR cam .555/.565 lift; 1.6 roller rockers by Scorpion; valve train stud girdle; ford racing polished valve covers; victor jr intake with 1" phenolic spacer; holly 650 CFM double pumper; procomp aluminum heads (ported and polished) with 2.055I, 1.60E valves. It also comes with MSD probillit distributor, MSD 8.5 mm wires, MSD blaster 2 coil, MSD digital 6 plus ignition system, stainless steel braided fuel line, holly fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure guage, Pro-form electric fan, and 160 amp alternator.****** off the line i have no tq , wont spin a tire but once i am going and and the rpms are up the it runs really strong .

i know the 2.055I is hurting me but i dont think that the in take is right

I have a built aod with 3.73s

What stall you running? Because it should have a traction problem with 3.73s. If you had 2.73s then you would need mroe bottom end, but with the deeper gears, I tend to feel its in your converter. You should have a 3000 stall with a lock up at least. a solid input shaft instead of the two piece stock setup is preferable at your level.

the Vic Jr intake will run about the same as the TII does. The RPM will limit some of the top end, unless you are shifting around 6000. With those heads and that cam you should have 7000 rpm no problem. The 306 with the paxton belt driven intake we built back in 98 would turn that high with the same cam. It was in a 88 vert GT and ran with my 455 urged FBird..

the cams powerband starts out above your stall. How much RPM can you get out of it with a power brake? If its under 2000 rpm, you have found the problem.

You're running a cam that builds power after 2500 and should be done by about 6k, running it through an intake that makes power 3k+ to 8k. With that combination it looks like you have a real short peak power band and you are not getting the car up into that power band fast enough which is why you think you have low torque. Try launching at 3k and I get you roast the tires easily enough.

What stall are you running in the AOD?
What gearset are you running in the AOD?

Either intake listed above would in theory increase your low end response, however, I think you are going to sacrafice some of the HP number to do it, but prob. get a longer flatter power band from it which might increase you total overall performance. Since you seem to like Edlebrock, I would think the airgap would also suit the need.

What is the primary use of the car?

The reason I ask is, my current motor combo (410c stroker) is in its power band from roughly 3000-7500. The car is a street/strip car and since most street driving is done at 2k and highway crusing at 2800 (75 MPH) I am rarely in the power band on the street. This translates into a car with moderate performance on the street (roughly equivilent to a zippy little sports car). I run a 4:10 with a 2.85 first and 3k 10 inch stall in my AOD so I can get it up over the 3k RPM if I need to, but until I get it up there its just a quick little mustang...not fast.
