theoretically....if someone had reproduction fenders, would reproduction headlight buckets fit better than original ones? i know originals dont fit the best in repro fenders....does anyone know? have personal experience?

yeah I'm just wondering if i can get a better fit with repro buckets to match my repro fenders....the fenders actually fit perfectly minus the fact the holes for the headlight bucket studs are little off...

i know someone who would buy the headlight buckets and it would displace almost all the cost of new repro buckets....i just figured maybe they would fit better on a repro fender since they are both repro's as opposed to an OEM bucket on a repro fender and vise versa...

id like to replace as much sheet metal as possible so that i can get this beast painted with the least amount of labor costs....

They might fit better if they are manufactured by the same company, but just because they are both repro doesn't mean that they will have the same errors in the manufacturing process (just that they will have errors).

WEll, take a copy of a copy, and then a copy of that copy, then a copy of that copy and well soon you will have a blank piece of paper.. right? one thing that doesnt fit like it should mathicng up with another thing that doesnt fit like it should would be a miracle.. havent seen amny of those in the automotive world.

ever get that feeling when something goes together really easy, that feeling that you missed something because it wwent together so easy?

+1. The odds are greater that they will not fit properly. I would suggest that if it is just a matter of the mounting holes being of a little, you are better of elongating those holes to get the correct fit.
