did it really makes your lights brighter?
No, but my wiring was in very good condition. There was less that 0.2 volt difference with and without the relay. If I was smarter I would have measured voltage of the stock system before ordering the kit. Oh well at least I ready for upgrading the power of the headlights.

On my 65, my wiring looks good and I cannot find any problems with the headlight system, but the lights are still very dim. Was that just the nature of these old systems?

It's the nature of your headlight bulbs. The originals are very dim, while the newer replacements are fairly bright, though the reflectors don't have the design detail of modern lights.

Does anyone know, do these replacement headlamps require any upgrading of the wiring and or need relays added? Or is it a simple take out the old and put in the new?
