Disc Brake Conversion Idea/Question
I recently found a 76 Mustang II hatchback for $100. I have been looking for a conversion kit for my 68 coupe for front disc brakes. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can use the spindles off and hardware off a 76 like you would use from the Granada. If so be glad to do some swapping apparently this car isn't it perfect shape, which would be great for me to learn to paint and what not with as well, but needed to know if anyone can say yes or no that this would be possible or not never seen a thing on this.
Different suspension types....completely. You could put the entire Deuce front suspension under the '68, but that takes a lot of work and fabrication.
You'd be better off rebuilding the Deuce and making it a monster (easy to do with that light of a car) and finding a better conversion kit for the '68. Visit Master Power Brakes...they have quality stuff for a lot less money than many kits out there.

FYI. The Granada disk brake rotor (5 lug ford pattern) is a direct bolt on to the Mustang II (and Pinto) spindle. All bearings and seals are a match. Get the Granada calipers and an aftermarket bracket and you have a bigger (appprox. 11" rotor) disk brake set up rather than redrilling the stock Mustang II rotors (not a good idea) or purchasing aftermarket stock Mustang (9.5 diameter) rotors that come with the 5 on 4 1/2 pattern. This may be helpfu to all of you guys with the Mustang II front ends on you Mustangs
