Is there a C-4 4-speed available for a 69 Coupe? I havent come across one yet, not an automatic anyway. What ya'lls opinion for a replacement? I do want to keep the automatic but something with AOD would be nice but not necessary. Thanks for your reply

sorry. I have a 302. I know C-4's are 3 speeds. I was trying to get away from cruising the highway at 4500 rpm. The problem is I have a nice leak between the the converter housing and the control valve housing, not the pan. If was was going to have to get it fixed, I figured I might as well just put in a new one, athough I dont have the cash right now.

probably 200$for r/r jegs has new aod they run about 1500$[:'(] but it does make crusing that much more enjoyable plus u have to get an adapter for the tv line on the car to hook it up to a carb and a torque converter so all in all ur gonna be looking at around 2000$ for all new maybe look for a wrecked 87-92(93 got an aode) 5.0 mustang to pirate the tranny from it to save a good grand or so

Any preferance on manufacturers? or dealers? I might be seriously building the engine (more on that later) so maybe I should get the leak fixed now and save the money for a better tranny later? Any thoughts on what may be causing the leak? It was fine until I was sitting in traffic. A friend asked if it was coming out an overflow tube and I told him i didnt think so but would check. Any thoughts on that?
