I bought this boot that is marked 1967-1968 Ford Mustang, but it doesn't fit my 68. According to the owner's manual the boot just slides under the chrome on the back and only snaps on the sides. This boot has snaps all around and can't slide under the chrome. Anybody know what Ford this will fit?

this is probably a dumb question, but, what the hell is a boot?[&:]

 

When your convert top is down you put this over it to finish out the car looks-wise. Like a tonneau cover on a pickup.

What does that mean?

 

First gen(eration) was '64.5-'66. That's what your boot fits.
