Hi, I am a new member here on this forum. I have a 1986 GT, a '64-1/2 and a 1928 Model A (original condition, not rodded out). I would like to know where I can get new dust boots for the door lock actuators without buying a whole new actuator. I just rebuilt my driver's side actuator and the boot is vaporized. A 35 mm film container with a small hole in the bottom fits perfectly over the actuator body, but it does little to keep out water. Here in the northeast, one good freeze and you're stuck out in the cold. Any sources? Thanks!

try www.50resto.com but don't know if you can buy just the dust boot by itself. you might try a Ford dealer also for just the boot.

 

The boot is not available from Ford unless you buy the entire actuator. So, does anyone have a boot they want to part with?
