mach 1 question

did 1972 mach 1's come fromthe factory with disc brakes? what about a rear sway bar?

Don't know about the rear anti-sway bar, but the disc brakes up front were an option.
On edit: Seems like I remember that the 72 Mach had a performance package option, but didn't include the rear anti-sway bar. It would be easy enough to add one though.

well, im just trying to figure out what ive got, i bout this mustang for 400 bucks, its got a good running motor and an automatic transmission, the vin tage says its a 72 mach1 with a 302 2bbl, i dont think i lost anything on the deal, i figure the motor and tranny are worth 400

The 72 Mach had a low compression 302, so you didn't score a real hot engine. However, if you can use any of the parts from it to build another Mustang, then the money is well spent.

Only the 351C 4BBL and larger came with a rear sway bar. As far as the disc brakes go, I could not find a resource that said definiteively. I thought if it had a 351 or larger engine it came with disc brakes.

The rear disk brakes may have been added on at a later date by another owner.....

I cant understand were you find these cars for under 1000 bucks, but I do know the deals are out there... Whats the condition of the 72 mach1 for 400?
