One of those garden hose roll up things you mount on the wall may be your answer to getting a little more space.

Get some PVC pipe that can withstand the PSI you are running and then stick build a hose that runs from your air tank up the wall to the ceiling then over to the center of your workshop, plumb the end of the pipe to run air to the flexible hose that is on a retractable reel and mount it on the ceiling in the dead center of your workspace and voila - your problem of the hose being all over floor and getting dirty all the time is taken care of. We did that with a buddies garage and it works beautifully.

there was a 26 gal. one that came with like every tool and attachment u could think of and the label said it was good for spraying? mine was $329 and that one was like $279....seems like a better deal but i didn't think the smaller tank was a good idea....the pumps are identical...2hp 150psi vs. 2hp 150psi.....did i make the right choice spending the extra money for the bigger one and not getting the free tool set and hoses and other bits?

I think you did pretty good too. Should work well for the limited space you have. Even though my shop is 40x40 I still cant have 100ft of hose layin on the floor. I use a modified shelf bracket to hold my hose. I coil it up by the door, and I drilled a couple holes in the door post to keep the air chuck and the nozzle. Just something to wrap it up on, a reel works good for one, but I like to have an extension hose coiled up somewhere. But also I have to reach 200' out to where the yard ends too.
hes 100% correct about the "tools" in the package. A good 1/2" impact wrench will set you back almost as much as the compressor you bought. Ingersoll has a nice one, but I still prefer my old SnapOn impact, it removes things the ingersol just rattles on.. Ingersol is much more affordable than anything off the truck. I have also had good luck with MAC and MATCO, but of course they are professional grade, that means you can run them all day long and they will last for years. The cheap stuff that comes with the compressor might last a week under the same conditions. I bought my SnapOn impact way back in 1994, its beat up but that sucker works better than anything I have ever used since. Cant speak to the new ones though, havent been on a truck since 98. I would recomend the Ingersol to you too.. it will do anything you ask of it.
Did I mention I worked for ingersol for a while as a CNC machinist? lol.. Dana corp before that.. Hate factory work.
