For your reference, I may be selling to a member of this board a built 351W with better heads with stud girdles, roller cam, a 4150 double pumper carb, McLeod scattershield and two sets of headers for $2k. Using that as a reference point, I'd probably offer $1750.

Good luck!

for that money id check into a new engine! get a brand new short block, 302 from ford racing (m60009b50) 1299.00$ some afr 165 heads for about 1200$ and it will be streetable. making the same power 12:1 is crazy for a street car for a few dollars more you will have a factory assembled short block for good reliability and some awesome sbf heads

Although our Georgian friend Stephen can't speak English very well, I agree with his summation.

i have found a few explorer motors in the range of 200-400$ but ive been strapped for cash evertime one was running and another had a knock for that price you could pick it up sell the intake and make some of the money back off of the purchase cause the 5.0 guy uses the manifold as a poor mans cobra/gt40(flows the same) im not sure of the chamber volume but i dont think its significant? not like the 69-70 351w conversion and the gt40 outflow them anyways

yeah i know but most of the time its the same price if not more for the heads because someone selling just the heads knows what they are so most of the time its cheaper to pick up the whole motor sell the short block and intake and it makes the heads cheaper for you
