How cool would it be to have a mustang with a full set of windows that when voltage is applied turn to a mirror or silver tint that is highly reflective.
This would be used when the car is parked to prevent UVs from damaging the interior, it would take the place of those hard to setup and mostly worthless foil type sun shades that you stuff in the front window.

It could even be set up so you could adjust the amount of tint from clear to almost dark inside the car.

I know you wouldn’t be able to use it while driving but there would be no law against it when the car is parked.

Damn I should get some type of IP patent on this thing.

I want it! So why the hell don’t they make it????

kinda like the transittion glasses lenses on a huge scale? but those are when ever its in the sun.

 

They do have glass like that, though usually it is clear when current is applied and turn opaque when the current is cut. That way the default setting is privacy. Of course you would want just the opposite. It would definitely be a hazard if your windows turned opaque while driving and you couldn't see out. The drawback to all this is expense. It is probably technologically possible, but it would be very expensive.

 

they make that type of stuf for offices and clubs it a glass that is translucent untill electricity is applied then it turns opaque its almost white it is very expensive but very cool too i have seen a couple bars with it the whole bathroom has glass walls and is visible to everyone but as soon as you flip the switch no one can see in or out

 

okay so its a cost issue, what about liquid crystal? if the glass had an lcd film between it then what?? Would heat cause a problem?
