Rebuilt engine starting problem

well if its 180 off all you have to do is reverse your plug wires lol

Once the engine is at TDC, the rotor will be pointing to the tower that needs the number 1 plug wire. There is no magic to having number 1 at a certain location.

Well, i figured out what you were talking about. Static timed it, then it wouldnt fire... ended up finding out that i had the dist 180* off. i man, noone told me that the crank went around 2 times and the dist only once, i thought u meant the housing itself needed to be turned 180*..... But i figured it out and it runs GREAT! -Jon

Glad to hear that and congratulations on your first engine rebuild. Don't feel bad about the distributor, one of my former neighbors never did master that. Everytime he put one together he would end up have to get me to get it started.
