Default Brake lines / fuel lines

Just want to get everyone's opinion. I am making my reso. list and can't decide. What is your opinion on stainless steel brake lines and stainless fuel lines? I bought a new steel brake line about 6-7 years ago and the thing is already rusted so bad that you can't hardly get it loose.
