I have a 1970 mustang I would like to update from an external voltage reg to an internal. Could someone let me know how to convert to a one wire Alt. and how do I handle the plug at the voltage regular. Do you connect wires together? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Thanks for pointing me to the information. I have a 130 amp 3G alternator. It has two additional plugs in it. Do I just run the wire as indicated in the form and leave everything else alone or do the other plugs have any value? Thanks again for the help or should I get an alternator from a different application?
Thanks
Pete

Wiring in a 3g altenator is a little different that wiring in a one wire alternator in a classic mustang, but if you follow the directions on wiring the 3g linked in the other post I point to you will be fine. I haven't personally wired a 3g so I am not much help in the 'experienced' an installation before other than I understand how daunting it can sometimes feel cutting and splicing on your wiring harness when you aren't exactly sure what it is that is being done
