but some cracks in the paint were where I didnt put any bondo on.

ill probably eventually start painting things on my own. I just need to buy all that materials.

dude, blow this guy off, you are tossing good money after bad.

Here's what you need to do:

- strip car to bare metal media blast for problably slightly under a grand
- do any metal/welding work
- use metal prep to etch the surface (from auto tech - phosheric acid)
- go with etch primer
- do bodywork (some guys like to do this right to the metal - I kinda like to do that since I use the grinder to get some bite on the bondo)
- then primer builder
- then sealer
- then base coat
- then clear
- then color sand
- then buff

Of course, lots of sanding, cleaning with soap and water, tack clothing, etc. in between all the areas and of course if you are doing graphics, sequencing will be modified. Again, not rocket science, just alot of work.

what a bummer dude, my brother had a ****ty job done on an old El Camino back in the 80's and I swore off those guys then[:@]

+1 on this......and wet sand the primer.....you can get a nice finish.....
