Default weatherstripping ?s

hey ya'll, back for some more questions.

i have finished my brake job, and am now moving on to my interior. im gonna get my seats upholstered for x-mas. and i was wondering.

my car will sometimes have leaks coming from the back window area, onto the back seats, and down on the the driver and passenger side seats......
what pieces of weatherstripping do i need, and does anyone know a good place to buy some. (links)

thanks so much guys

Sounds like you need the weatherstripping piece that goes around your back window. I think these ones are notorious for leaking. The weather stripping itself shouldnt be expensive, but you'll have to pull the window out, clean the surface, apply the new stripping, and put the window back in.

Personally I would take it to a shop to have the window pulled becuase if it breaks, your screwed big time. If you do it yourself, you should have a buddy to help for sure..

If you have water on your front mats, its almost gaurenteed to be coming from your cowl. Practically every classic has this problem where debris clogs the cowl drains and traps water, rusting holes, and letting water down your firewall onto the floor. You'll have to live with it or put ALOT of dough to fix it...

Take it to a pro when you get enough money to pay for it. Call around to see which body shop will do it for a reasonable price.

Yeah back windows are kinda touchy, if you know the way to do them they arent tough, but you cant just go and pry them up. Putting them in takes a bit of a feel for it and a few tricks.

Usually a remove and replace will run less than $100 at a shop. its money well spent if they fix any rust issues and you dont end up breaking the glass. Some rear windows are stupid expensive, the one in my GTO is over $650 for just the glass, not including installation. So it pays to be carefull, even if I havent priced a window for mine, I know the original is cheaper than buying another one..
