Aluminum 9" centersection

Aluminum 9" centersection
Are there any drawbacks to using an aluminum centersection in a 9"? Price aside of course, any reason I couldnt run this everyday? Seems to me like a great way to get rid of a lot of unsprung weight if I could come across one at a reasonable price.
